WHEN AND HOW I BECAME
A WURZEL: In 1981 I was working with
the BBC in Clifton as a session musician and it was
looking as if work was going to run out. I had heard
that the Wurzels were looking for a drummer - so I
contacted their management and ended up as their drummer.
IF I WEREN'T A WURZEL
I'D BE: A food critic or chef
FAVOURITE 3 SONGS FOR DESERT ISLAND DISCS:
1. 'Waltz for Debbie' (Bill Evans)
2. 'Fifty Ways to leave your lover' (Paul Simon with
a great drum intro by Steve Gadd!)
3. 'The Planets Suite' (Gustav Holtz)
TIP FOR THE TOP:
A warm summer!
